AI video analytics features and demos
Explore anomaly detection, event search, analytics and agentic security workflows. Compare vendor demonstrations with the evidence your own cameras, operators and site conditions need to provide.
Features to evaluate before choosing a platform
Self-learning anomaly detection
Icetana describes software that learns patterns in camera footage and presents unusual activity to operators through its Livewall.
ITEXPERT evaluation note: Test ordinary shift changes, deliveries, shadows and weather alongside labelled incidents. Measure missed events and nuisance alerts per camera-hour.
Counts, occupancy and heatmaps
Icetana Analytics provides people and vehicle counts, occupancy information, and movement or dwell-time heatmaps as an addition to its Safety and Security product.
ITEXPERT evaluation note: Compare counts with manual observations across busy and quiet periods. Define boundaries, reporting intervals and how repeat visits or occlusion affect results.
Event-led forensic search
Forensic Quick Find starts from a person selected in an Icetana event and ranks visually similar matches across camera views.
ITEXPERT evaluation note: Evaluate retrieval quality, time to review and look-alike errors on authorised footage. Similarity results require operator verification and do not establish identity.
Licence plate watchlists
Icetana’s licence plate recognition add-on supports vehicle watchlists and event notifications within its Safety and Security suite.
ITEXPERT evaluation note: For Pakistan sites, validate the actual plate scripts and formats, lane geometry, glare, speed and night capture before agreeing operational use.
Event triage and explanations
Triage Agent filters existing Icetana events using operator-defined criteria and provides text explanations for events selected for attention.
ITEXPERT evaluation note: Test ambiguous events, explanation errors, prioritisation and escalation. Keep human approval for consequential actions and document what happens when the model is uncertain.
Alert routing
Relay Agent routes event information to communication channels. Icetana documents filtering by camera, event type, object type and severity, with Telegram as one example.
ITEXPERT evaluation note: Verify delivery, acknowledgement, retries, duplicate suppression and outages. Agree channel costs and recipient access rather than assuming every messaging integration is included.
On-premises AI workflows
Antara Core is Icetana’s local AI engine for workflows such as triage, reporting and relay. The vendor describes operation within restricted environments.
ITEXPERT evaluation note: Map video, event, telemetry and update flows separately. Validate hardware sizing, offline licensing, maintenance, backups and the boundaries of each external connector.
Face watchlist alerts
Icetana markets a facial-recognition add-on for watchlist matching and alerts in its Safety and Security suite.
ITEXPERT evaluation note: Evaluate whether identity matching is necessary for the use case. Establish appropriate authorisation, access limits and review procedures; test false matches before operational decisions.
Watch ITEXPERT-hosted video demos
Play the complete demonstrations directly from our server. Videos load when you choose to play them. These demonstrations illustrate product workflows and are not independent performance tests.
Forensic Search Demo
Forensic search demonstration. Use it to discuss event selection, ranked matches and operator review.
Ask during your evaluation: What footage, camera overlap and review steps would be needed to reproduce this workflow at your site?
Licence Plate Recognition Demo
Licence plate recognition demonstration. The product page describes watchlist configuration and vehicle alerts.
Ask during your evaluation: Which Pakistan plate formats and capture conditions can the proposed configuration support in a measured pilot?
AI Event Triage Demo
Event triage demonstration. It illustrates the product’s event-filtering workflow.
Ask during your evaluation: How will irrelevant alerts, uncertain explanations and missed priority incidents be measured?
On-premises AI Engine Demo
Introduction to an on-premises AI engine and its security workflows.
Ask during your evaluation: Which parts of the proposed system remain local, and which notification, support or update paths need connectivity?
Plan a measurable pilot for your site
- Specify the task. Define target events, ordinary look-alikes, monitored areas and who receives each alert.
- Check inputs. Record camera and recorder models, VMS versions, access permissions, stream quality and available compute.
- Collect representative samples. Cover relevant shifts, night conditions, glare, occlusion and different traffic levels; reserve footage for evaluation.
- Measure the full workflow. Count correct and missed events, false alerts per camera-hour, delivery latency and acknowledgement. Record test conditions and sample size.
- Test failure paths. Disconnect a permitted test stream or notification channel and confirm loss-of-coverage reporting, retries and recovery.
- Agree responsibilities. Document data retention, operator permissions, human approval, vendor licensing, maintenance and handover in the proposal.
For Karachi and other Pakistan locations, include your site access, power and connectivity constraints. For plate recognition, use the formats and capture conditions present at your actual entrances.
Review service-area planningQuestions before a video analytics demonstration
How is anomaly detection different from rule-based CCTV analytics?
Anomaly detection compares activity with learned patterns; rule-based analytics tests a defined condition, such as crossing a line. Compare both against your target incidents and ordinary activity. Neither approach removes the need for representative testing and operator review.
Link to this answerDoes a product demo prove performance on our cameras?
No. A demo shows a workflow under its demonstration conditions. A site pilot must establish camera compatibility, detection quality, latency, reliability and the response process using footage and events representative of your location.
Link to this answerWhat should an agentic security workflow do after detection?
A scoped workflow may classify an event, draft a summary, route a notification and record acknowledgement. Define the permissions, approval points, audit trail and failure behaviour for each step. Keep consequential actions under appropriate human control.
Link to this answerWhat should a Karachi or Pakistan deployment brief include?
Provide the sites, cameras and VMS versions; shifts and lighting conditions; target events; plate formats where relevant; network and power constraints; data handling requirements; and who will respond. Agree a written pilot scope before making performance or deployment commitments.
Link to this answerAre these Icetana products included in ITEXPERT services?
Demonstration access does not include a software licence. Discuss the required capabilities with ITEXPERT and confirm licensing, availability, integration responsibilities and support in a written proposal.
